The City of Lafayette is proud to be the first city in Indiana to use electric trash and recycling trucks. Lafayette is striving to be a leader in the sanitation industry by utilizing trucks that are more environmentally friendly. These trucks are able to complete the routes more efficiently than our current trucks while reducing carbon emissions. Keep an eye out for these trucks because you won't hear them coming.
