Schedules

Trash and Recycle pickup will be delayed on all City of Lafayette observed holidays.

If a holiday is observed on a Monday: 

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday collection will be delayed by one day and Friday will still be collected as scheduled. (Thursday and Friday both collected Friday)

If a holiday is observed on a Friday:

Friday collection will be moved up to Thursday. (Thursday and Friday both collected Thursday)

If a holiday is observed Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday:

The days following the holiday will be delayed by one day with Thursday and Friday collection collected on Friday. (Thursday and Friday both collected Friday) For example: if a holiday is observed on Wednesday, Wednesday collection will be delayed to Thursday and Thursday and Friday collection will be collected on Friday. 

Thanksgiving and the Friday after Thanksgiving will be collected on the Saturday following the holidays.  

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (Thursday and Friday in 2026) will both be collected on the Saturday following the holiday, December 26.
