Public Safety Building and Garage Project traffic control, 601 Columbia Street between 6th Street and 7th Street. 6th Street between Columbia Street and South Street will be closed to all traffic except police. 7th Street between Columbia Street and South Street, one-way Northbound. Closure - Southaven, Drexel, and Lasalle

From September 6 to October 15, there will be paving replacements on the following listed roads. Access to homes may not be available between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but will be available in the evenings. Closure - Teal Rd Intersection with Bennett

From September 19 to October 10, the South side of the Teal Road intersection with Bennett will be closed for an MSEwall installation in front of Bennett. Traffic will be allowed to enter Bennett but not to exit, as Northbound traffic will be closed. Southbound traffic will be able to access the subdivision. Closure - Maplewood and Greenbriar Subdivisions *Updated, please read*

From September 23 to October 15, there will be a pavement preservation project in the Maplewood and Greenbriar Subdivisions. Areas in and around: South of Vinton St, West Dogwood Lane, North of Veterans Memorial Pkwy Ln, and East of Old 231. These roads will be immediately drivable post product being put down, however there will be a light coating of sand for 24 hours before clean-up. Single Lane Closures - Old US 231 and Beck Ln. *Now Ending Nov 4*

From September 26 to October 28, there will be single lane closures of Northbound and Southbound Old US 231 at the intersection with Beck Ln. Special Event - Farmer's Market

For all Saturdays between May 7th and October 29th of 2022, the Lafayette Farmer's Market will take place from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, with open market hours running from 8:00 AM to 12:30 PM During this time, 5th St, between Main and Columbia and Main and Ferry will be closed to traffic and parking. Special Event - 150th Anniversary of Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony

On October 8th, the City of Lafayette will be hosting a tree planting ceremony in honor of the 150th anniversary of Arbor Day. 54 trees will be planted along Underwood between 15th and 20th st. On October 8, the National Alliance on Mental illness - West Central Indiana will be hosting their annual NAMI Walks Your Way event. This event will utilize the Riehle Plaza, the John T. Myers Bridge, and the heritage trail. This event should not close any streets or sidewalks.
