    On September 20, 2021, Alabama St will be closed between 4th and 5th in order to pour a 2nd floor concrete slab.  Rigdon construction will be setting up two concrete pump trucks to expediate the process which is scheduled to take place between 6:35 AM and 3:00 PM.  Road closed signs and barricades will be placed on 4th St and there will be a flagger on the road to direction traffic for the duration.

    On September 26, 2021, the Community Cancer Network will host the "Carry the Torch" walk in downtown Lafayette. The walk will take place in Riehle Plaza, the Big 4 Depot-Community Room, the John T. Myers Bridge, Ferry St, Brown St, 9th St, and Main St.; including sidewalks. Attendance is expected to be in the hundreds, there will be tents and restroom facilities set up. Expect restrictions on streets and sidewalks, as well as barricades, for the duration of the event.
