[ARCHIVED] Drug Task Force Makes Arrest for Dealing Methamphetamine

Date: January 30th, 2018

The following individual has been arrested stemming from investigations conducted by the Drug Task Force. 


On January 29th, 2018, Alain Kiiwon Powell Sr, was arrested for two counts of Dealing Methamphetamine, and two counts of Possession of Methamphetamine.  Powell Sr. sold methamphetamine to a Confidential Informant and an Undercover Detective on several occasions in 2017.  Powell Sr, was located in Lafayette at a local apartment complex when he was arrested on this warrant.  Powell Sr was transported to the Tippecanoe County Jail.

The Drug Task Force works diligently to investigate and bring individuals involved in narcotic sales to justice. This arrest stems from multiple investigations that were conducted during the final 6 months of 2017. Future arrests are expected.

The fact a person has been arrested or charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
