[ARCHIVED] RADkids self-defense training

The Lafayette Police Department is providing a RADkids, self-defense class this month. The class will be hosted at the Lafayette Police Training Center, 1301 South St, and will be held December 27th through the 30th from 9am to 11am each day.

RADkids is a program of realistic, self-defense tactics, and techniques for kids. The RADkids System is a comprehensive course that begins with awareness, prevention, risk reduction, and risk avoidance, while progressing on to the basics of hands-on, defense training. RADkids is not a Martial Arts program. Our courses are taught by nationally certified RADkids.

This is an 8-hour program and attendance is required for all three sessions. The age range for this class is 5 to 7 years old.

To register, please email Amanda Deckard at There is no cost for this class.
