[ARCHIVED] Child Drowning Call

On May 3rd, at around 11:15 am, the Lafayette Police Department, Lafayette Fire Department, and Tippecanoe County EMS were dispatched to Chaffee Ct. in reference to a child drowning. The 10-month-old female child was reported to be found in the bathtub unconscious, and submerged in water. The child’s mother began CPR and called 911. Medics transported the child to a local hospital before she was flown to Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis. The child is currently listed in critical condition.
