[ARCHIVED] Pedestrian versus car accident on Sagamore Parkway

On Monday August 17, 2015 at 2:00PM, Officers of the Lafayette Police Department responded to a personal injury motor vehicle accident on Sagamore Parkway just south of South Street. Officers arrived and found one pedestrian with serious shoulder, leg, and head injuries. The male pedestrian was crossing northbound Sagamore Parkway when he was struck by a car driven by Kayla Miller (24) of Colfax Indiana.
The driver was taken to a local hospital for standard drug and alcohol testing. The injured pedestrian was taken to a local hospital where his injuries are being treated. His name is not being released at this time.
Northbound Sagamore Parkway was completely blocked for nearly 45 minutes at Kossuth Street. Northbound Sagamore Parkway was restricted to one lane for about one and a half hours while the accident was investigated.
